Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to Matrix OS, the website at matrix-os.com, hosted Matrix OS instances, related apps, APIs, support, and other services provided by Finna Labs Inc. By using Matrix OS, you agree to these terms.

If you use Matrix OS for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Finna Labs Inc. is our US contracting entity. These terms cover individual consumers and business customers. A separate signed order or enterprise agreement controls where it expressly changes these terms. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights remain applicable and cannot be waived by these terms.

Matrix OS is an AI-native operating environment that can provision a personal cloud computer, run apps, manage files and workspace state, connect approved integrations, and route requests through AI agents selected or configured by the user.

Hosted Matrix OS workspaces may include control-plane services, per-user runtime infrastructure, generated software, terminal sessions, messaging or integration bridges, and backup or recovery systems. Some features are experimental, beta, or dependent on third-party providers.

You are responsible for the accuracy of account information, the security of your credentials, and all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@matrix-os.com if you believe your account or workspace has been compromised.

You may not share access in a way that bypasses Matrix OS permissions, impersonate someone else, or interfere with another user's workspace.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement. An organization's administrator may control access to its workspace; use your own account for personal work that should remain separate from that organization.

As between you and Finna Labs Inc., and to the extent permitted by law and third-party rights, you keep ownership of your prompts, files, app data, workspace data, generated apps, and other content you provide to or create with Matrix OS. You grant Finna Labs Inc. the limited rights needed to host, secure, operate, support, back up and transmit your content to provide the service and carry out your instructions. This permission does not transfer ownership or authorize publication of your private workspace content.

Matrix OS is designed around owner-controlled data. Personal files live in your Matrix home, structured app and workspace records live in your Matrix database, and connected services are used only as authorized by you or your organization.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for the content and personal data you provide. Keep independent copies of important work and export data before your paid access ends. Available export and recovery features depend on the service; a cloud workspace is not a guarantee against data loss. See our Privacy Policy for personal-data processing. Business customers requiring a data-processing agreement should contact us before processing personal data on behalf of others.

Matrix OS can generate text, code, app behavior, plans, commands, and other outputs through AI models and agents. AI output can be incomplete, unsafe, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation.

You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and approving AI-generated output before relying on it, deploying it, sharing it, or using it for legal, medical, financial, security-sensitive, or other high-impact decisions.

Outputs may resemble other users' results or contain material subject to third-party rights. We do not promise that an output is unique, copyrightable, accurate or free from infringement. Agent access permissions determine which actions can occur; review those permissions before allowing unattended work.

You agree not to use Matrix OS to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• distribute malware or use exploit code or automation to cause unauthorized harm;
• attack, probe, overload, scrape, or disrupt Matrix OS or third-party systems without authorization;
• bypass access controls, rate limits, sandbox boundaries, or billing controls;
• connect third-party services without authorization; or
• store or process data you are not allowed to provide to the service.

When you connect services such as email, calendar, chat, repository hosting, or other integrations, you authorize Matrix OS and its integration providers to access those services as needed to perform the actions you request.

Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for the permissions you grant and for disconnecting integrations you no longer want Matrix OS to use.

The Matrix OS source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later unless a file states otherwise. Those open-source license rights apply to the covered code and are not reduced by these service terms.

These terms govern use of the hosted Matrix OS service, accounts, support, infrastructure, and related Finna Labs Inc. services. They do not transfer ownership of your content or generated apps to Finna Labs Inc.

Some Matrix OS features may be free, usage-limited, invite-only, beta, or paid. If paid plans or usage charges apply, the checkout or order flow will describe the price, billing interval, taxes, cancellation terms, and any usage limits before you buy.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the disclosed interval until canceled. The checkout must disclose the recurring charge and obtain your agreement before charging you. A trial that converts to a paid plan must disclose when the first charge occurs and the recurring price. The trial shown at checkout does not replace any statutory withdrawal period.

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. For purchases and renewals after these updated terms are posted, payments already charged for a billing period are nonrefundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds or credits for unused time in that period, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Finna Labs Inc. in writing.

If you cannot access the billing portal, contact support@matrix-os.com for help stopping renewals. Applicable consumer withdrawal, refund and defective-service rights take priority over the nonrefund policy. We will not change the price of a current paid period retroactively; future renewal changes require advance notice and an opportunity to cancel before they take effect.

If your subscription includes a free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first paid charge. Checkout shows the trial end date and the price that applies after the trial.

You are responsible for third-party charges you choose to incur, including cloud, AI model, messaging, integration, or provider costs connected to your workspace.

If you are a consumer in Sweden or elsewhere in the EEA and distance-contract rules apply, you generally have 14 days from concluding the service contract to withdraw without giving a reason. If required withdrawal information is missing, the period may be extended by law. Starting a continuing cloud service does not, by itself, remove your withdrawal right.

You can notify us with a clear withdrawal statement at support@matrix-os.com. Include your name, account email and contract date or order reference so we can identify the contract. You may write: “I withdraw from my Matrix OS service contract concluded on [date].” You do not have to use those exact words.

Where a withdrawal right applies, required refunds are made within 14 days after we receive your notice, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without a refund fee. A proportionate charge for service supplied before withdrawal applies only where the law permits it, including the required prior information and your express request to start early.

For a service fully performed during the withdrawal period, or separately supplied digital content, loss of the withdrawal right applies only if the specific statutory conditions are met. These terms and ordinary use of the service do not constitute a blanket waiver.

Mandatory rights concerning conformity, security updates, remedy of defects, price reductions, termination and refunds remain available. Tell us promptly if the service is defective. Consumers in other jurisdictions retain the nonwaivable protections applicable to them, including applicable US state laws.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, a material breach, unlawful use or a security threat. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve it. Urgent security risks or legal restrictions may require immediate action. You can contact support to dispute a restriction.

You may stop using Matrix OS and cancel your subscription. Workspace access and hosted infrastructure may end when your entitlement ends, so retrieve important content first. Termination does not remove accrued payment duties, statutory refund rights or privacy rights. Data retention is described in the Privacy Policy.

We may make changes reasonably needed for security, legal compliance, compatibility, provider availability or service improvement. Changes to a consumer's digital service remain subject to mandatory law, including required notices and rights to terminate where applicable. A beta label does not remove those rights.

Revised terms will show a new effective date. We will give reasonable advance notice of material contractual changes by an appropriate account or email notice; posting alone does not override any legally required notice or consent. Changes apply prospectively, subject to any urgent legal or security requirements.

For business customers, Matrix OS is provided as is and as available, except for commitments in a separate agreement. To the extent permitted by law, Finna Labs Inc. disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Finna Labs Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or service interruption.

These exclusions do not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where liability cannot be excluded, or any other nonwaivable liability. For consumers, statutory guarantees and available remedies prevail over conflicting disclaimers or exclusions.

Contact support first so we can try to resolve a complaint. These terms do not require binding arbitration or waive class-action rights. Mandatory jurisdiction rules apply; where consumer law permits you to bring proceedings in your home courts, that right remains available.

Swedish consumers may refer an eligible dispute to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), subject to its jurisdiction and admissibility requirements. You can also seek guidance from Konsumentverket.
